Inbali
Isevles studied at the universities of Sussex and
Cambridge and now practises as a lawyer in the City of
London. Her passion for globetrotting has taken her from the
depths of the Amazon Rainforest to the bubbling geysers of
Iceland. Inbalilives in London with four degus—exoticrodents
adopted from the RSPCA.
Her first book, The Tygrine Cat, won the 2008 Calderdale
Children’s Book of the Year Award. A chance discovery on
a London street set in motion the story of her second novel,
The Bloodstone Bird. “Nothing is what it seems,” says Inbali.
