Introduction
The adventure can start in the village of Broadrise.
The adventure is set up so the Player Characters [PCs]
can encounter diverse types of situations and different
adventure styles, allowing for role-playing within a village,
meeting the locals, and getting involved in their lives, rural
situations with wandering monsters, and a dungeon/Deep
encounter. The module offers a chance for the GM to
immerse themselves and their players with as much or little
detail as they want to put in. Rolling countryside surrounds
the village for miles. Giving you, the GM, the opportunity to
fit the adventure into almost any setting within your game. I
have left the ending open, allowing the GM to slot in further
encounters or adventure twists to keep the game moving
but with enough happening to turn it into more than one
session if so desired.
The Plot
There are several options for the plot
1. The PCs following up suggested adventure plots
from my previous adventure “The Keep of Dell-
ass Raymond” part 2 of “The Swords of Light”
adventures. i.e., following the “Ring of Visions”
which is leading the PCs towards the north. (GM
the next “Sword of Light” is under the Church of the
Unknown God).
2. The Inn keeper
Thumned Grayfoot
would like you
to clear the old church of any monsters as he feels
it is starting to get bad for business. This will also
allow him to continue his interest in local history.
He is willing offer a good reward.

3. Asked by the local trader
Caden Lee
to clear the
road to the north and south to ensure free travel of
the wagon trains.
4. The village Elder
Alex Estrada
will ask the PCs to
seek out/investigate the cause of:
a. Walking dead have been seen around the
old church. Please investigate if the rumors
are true.
b. The locals are starting to get worried about
the wood with three disappearances in the
last two weeks.
5. Local priest
Blair Britt
would like the PCs to remove
the possible undead from the old church site.
