Introduction
A while back, when I was still part of the Dungeon World Tavern
on Google Plus, I helped a
lot
of people out with their home-brewed
magic items. My suggestions and criticisms got a lot of approval, and
eventually someone asked if/when I was going to make a compilation
of my own stuff.
That sounded like a great idea, so I spent a week or so developing
and writing a bundle of just over 30 magic items. I also included some
notes on my creation process because, hey, teach a man to create a
magic item, right? After some feedback and criticisms from a variety
of people,
10+ Treasures
was born.
Feedback on
10+ Treasures
has been from I’ve seen universally
positive, and it is one of my best sellers to
this
day (the first thing I’ve
written to hit Best Silver Seller on Drivethrurpg, in fact). So, of course
I figured I should churn out another volume. Here it is. Hopefully
you’ll like this one even more than the previous one.

(NOTE: Just in case you’re wondering about the title, it’s a reference to
both the 10+ result in Powered by the Apocalypse games, as well as the
10 result on the treasure table on page 228 in Dungeon World.)

New Tags
Some of the items in this book feature tags that aren’t in
Dungeon
World.
Here’s what they mean:
Agonizing:
The wounds inflicted by this weapon are
excruciatingly painful, and the pain might linger even after it has
healed.
Infernal:
The item is demonic in nature. Might react badly to a
cleric of a good god, and a paladin can probably sense it (and want to
destroy it).
Living:
The item is alive. It can be killed as any other creature, and
without proper nourishment it will starve.
Maddening:
The item gradually wears on the sanity of whoever
carries or wields it. The GM will tell you how and when it manifests.
Spirit:
The item contains a spirit. Give it a name and personality,
and try to keep it happy or at least get along.
Telepathic:
The item can communicate via telepathy, either with
whoever is carrying it or anyone nearby. Might even be able to read
your thoughts and memories.
