INTRODUCTION: One of two new archetypes created for use in Vaesen
games set in New Orleans, a place filled with magic, history, and
folklore, or elsewhere in the Deep South of the United States.

Voodoo Practitioner
I remember it like it was yesterday, my
grandmother took me out to the cemetery under
the light of a full moon. She called upon the name
of her granny, Anne-Marie, and Saint Anthony.
After she made her prayers and gave forth their
offerings, those two appeared before Granny
Jeanne, she spoke with them, and they reassured
her of their help. And sure enough, the next day as
my grandfather was cleaning out the shed, he
found $50 in an old jar. It was just what we needed
to pay off the banker to stop him from taking the
farm.
Now Granny Jeanne told me whatever I do, that
as we were leaving, I was under no circumstances
to look back towards the cemetery. I couldn’t help
myself and I peeked behind. If I had not seen it
with my own eyes, I would not have believed it. But
there in the cemetery, were the hands of the dead
sticking up from their graves with money clutched
in their hands. And the spirits of Saint Anthony
and Anne-Marie were gathering it up and stuffing
it in an old jar.

Talents
You can use your connection with the spirits to
interfere in the daily lives of others but at a cost. You
may impose a -1 on all future Skill Tests on a human
or vaesen at the cost of 1 Mental Condition on the
caster. It can be increased to -2, however the caster's
1 Mental Condition cannot be healed during the

Owes You a Debt
Your work with the community has sometimes meant
performing a healing or doing a deed without being
paid at the time. Once per scenario a friendly NPC is
able to provide you a timely clue as repayment for this
service you performed for them. The player must
provide the name of the NPC and the service
performed to the Gamemaster.

the
Preparation
phase,
the
Voodoo
Practitioner can prepare 1d3 gris-gris for use during
the scenario. Each gris-gris may be used to add +1 to
a single Skill Test. They can be used by the creator or
given to others.
